As part of its eighth anniversary celebration since its debut on June 13, 2013, BTS held a special online performance to demonstrate ARMY what it's all about.
“New ARMY haven't gotten to watch our performance, and we really wanted to let them feel the fire you can sense at the event,” stated member V in a video published before the two-day online concert “BTS 2021 Muster Sowoozoo” began on Sunday.
“Let us go together till our tenth anniversary.”
Unlike past online concerts, which are normally recorded inside to make greater use of computer visuals, BTS conducted a live performance outside in an attempt to capture a more real-time, happy atmosphere.
Members take turns expressing their recollections of the previous eight years with each other and with spectators before continuing to sing and perform.
To further engage fans, BTS pre-selected a few people through special activities, and those people were seen cheering live for the band online in the midst of the concert through a screen placed up outside.
The two-day event will continue on Monday at 6:30 p.m. Monday's concert will be more like a performance from the band's global tour, with a somewhat different flow than Sunday's.
